What a listing means

Listings summarize community reports reviewed by a moderator. They are allegations, not a guarantee of wrongdoing. A missing listing does not verify an account.

What becomes public

The reported identifier, platform, category, relevant aliases, reported loss, dates, a moderator-written summary, and full report images are published after approval. Pending report images and dispute evidence remain restricted to the submitter and authorized moderators. Dispute contact details are never public.

How review works

Moderators check the account match, evidence relevance, and whether the summary is supported. Repeated reports are not automatically independent evidence. Review decisions are recorded. Moderators must check text and every image for private information, threats and unsupported claims before approval. Images are not automatically redacted. Reject unsafe evidence and request a redacted submission before publishing. There is no guaranteed turnaround time.

Corrections and disputes

Use “Report a problem” → “This report is incorrect” on the specific report. Disputes are free. A moderator can remove that report after reviewing the explanation. Other reports are considered separately.

Your evidence

Submit only material you are entitled to share. Hide personal names, addresses, ID numbers and financial details before uploading. Evidence and technical session information remain stored until manually deleted; there is currently no automatic expiry. You can request deletion through the contact below. A request may require review of an active dispute or legal obligation; we will explain any information retained. Keep your case reference when contacting us about a submission.

Content rules and terms

Share accurate firsthand experiences and evidence you are entitled to publish. Do not submit fabricated accusations, threats, harassment, private personal details or calls to target or contact someone. Do not use Scam Tales to arrange unlawful transactions. Content may be rejected or removed for breaking these rules. A report is an allegation, not a finding of guilt; absence of a report is not an endorsement.

Privacy and service providers

No registration or reporter name is required. Scam Tales uses a private browser session identifier, submissions and evidence to review reports and handle challenges. Your session identifier is not published. This is not a guarantee of complete anonymity: service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses. Optional subscription emails and consent records are stored separately and are not displayed on reports. To unsubscribe or request deletion, email support@scamtales.com. Subscribing is never required to post. Firebase and Google Cloud provide hosting, authentication and storage. Approved report text is sent to Google Cloud Translation to provide other languages; translations may contain errors. Information may be processed outside your country. Private evidence and contact information are not intended for public display.
